The Food Bank and God's Holy Spirit.

During this mornings Rural Flames meeting we had an promptitude talk from Dave about the work of the Gideon's. During coffee I caught sight of the Food Bank box and my heart sank. Affording to eat is a struggle for some families in this economic climate, but the Food Bank has always been well provided for.

However, when one of the major contributors of our little food back is ill, it's a bit of a problem, especially because he collected off many others. I was looking at it today wondering, 'now what?' I had totally forgotten that last week we invited the children to contribute, if they felt able. Fortunately, their memory is far better than mine, because they did not let God down. I noticed that some of them even remembered to pop it in the box without telling anyone. Anyway, at the end of the evening the box was full again and I was thinking...'So, that's what ! '.

At tonight's Kid's Club meeting we have been learning about the power of waiting on The Holy Spirit and the impact that can have on our lives. Also how The Holy Spirit can intercede for us through the use of different tongues. (ct) Romans 8:24-30 " For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will."
