New Year Prayer For the Chapel Fellowship and Our Friends.

Father God we bring to you the babies who are about to be born, for lasting peace where there are negotiations, for the rebuilding of lives, for new careers. We bring to you those who move into new homes, especially Jo and her family, for those who will lose their homes this year through poverty, fire or any other disaster. We bring to you new Christians and pray that angels will protect them, that they will hear right teaching and be confronted with men and women who are living the Gospel message, not brothers and sisters who are back biting, jealous of each other or hurting each other in any way,

We pray for all the people who have passed through the fellowship, far too many to name individually and for all those only known to you Lord who will pass through, also for those who stay.

We pray for the many children who have heard God's Word preached here, we pray that the seed will be woken in them and that they have the skills to call on Christ in their time of need. We pray for those children who have been ill and have been touched by God's amazing grace and healing whilst they have been here to name Grace and Helena who have been saved from death by your healing grace.

We pray for Brian, Jill, Mike, Lynne, Gail, Darren and myself for the message that we preach here, that it will be in Spirit and truth and filled with the love, hope and joy of Christ. We pray for those who will hear the message preached, that it is received in the Spirit in which it is given and if it be fore reproof it will be received from Christ Himself. We pray God;s blessings on lives that are changed by the message that is preached here.

We pray for all those in the fellowship who do those things that keep us ticking over, especially Jane and Val for the many drinks they have provided, for Lesley and Lara for their dedication to the children's work and Ted for his meaningful reading and drumming, for Tonia who brings us bread, for Joe who has brought us beautiful flowers and friends who have graced the chapel with art.

We pray for the many activities that will take place here over the year ahead, those we know of and those that are yet to be planned. We pray for wisdom to deal with things we have to deal with, with regard to the building. We pray for Cheryl and her family and we thank you Lord for all that she and her sons have done in the garden and to prepare for the wedding.

We pray for Lindsey and David as they enter a new year in their married life, Lord we ask you to bless them both and keep them well as they live daily with disabilities that most able bodied people could only begin to imagine about. We pray for all of those who care for them, their family friends and carers and we ask that you bless them in their home.

We pray for Luke and his family in Manchester as Luke faces solutions for his health difficulties and healing into the family’s situation. We also pray for Ted's daughter and for Philip who is still mourning, that the New Year will be light at the end of a dark time.

We pray for Andrew and thank you for his courage as he faces his difficulties with repeated Epileptic fits. We pray for Richard and thank you Lord for his simple faith and the witness it is for us.

We pray for everyone else in the fellowship, for their families and friends...We pray for those people who support us financially, who help us to keep ticking over.

We pray for Olivia and Elliot who keep us amused. We pray that they will grow up, with the other children, to be fine men and women of God.

We thank you Lord for the work of other churches in Herefordshire, the country and the world. We pray for the difficult work of church and worship leaders, for evangelists, pastors, ministers, priests, religious people, Bishops and the Pope. We pray for our government, for Theresa May, for wisdom, patience and humility.

We pray for the Queen and her family as it seems her health is not as it was, we do pray for the strength of mind body and spirit that she needs for all her duties and any decisions that she has to make over her own future.

We pray for the World, for world leaders who have been placed in positions of power. We pray for tolerance and understanding between them. We pray for an end to all war and fighting. We pray that the children of this world who have been born into war ravished lands, into poverty and fear will know peace before they die, the comfort of homes and food in their stomachs. We pray for parents all over the world who have lost their children, especially for those who have been born into war, lived their short lives under bombing, gunfire and destruction, only to live shortened lives. Father forgive those who have had a part in this atrocity.

We pray for all that happens in 2017, that you, Father God, are accepted as Our Father who art in Heaven by the many who have scorned your holy name. We pray 365 Amens' to be heard many times over, here in Hereford, in England and across the nations. Amen.
