Jesus says to Nicodemus "Are you a teacher of Israel, and yet you do not understand these things? (John 3:10)

This is the line all of us, congregation, lay ministers, church leaders, teachers and preachers need to have ingrained in us and ponder on Jesus' question regularly. It should provoke us into questioning whether we are in our position for the right reason. Do we understand all things or are there things that we have yet to know? Do we have the right to claim ultimate authority over what it is we are supposed to know and say? Jesus is saying, ask yourselves, commit yourselves to allowing God's Holy Spirit to be headship over you. Be humbled by The Holy Spirit of God, don't claim knowledge and authority on all things, give that over to God and He will amaze us with His Word.
